International tourism internships are becoming increasingly important for students who want global industry experience. For this reason, the Universidad Nacional de La Rioja (UNLaR) has signed a cooperation agreement with Sol Experiences F.Z.E., a company based in the United Arab Emirates, specialised in international sports tourism.
This agreement creates new international tourism internships for students in Tourism programs. As a result, they will gain practical experience and exposure to the global tourism industry.
International Tourism Internships for Tourism Students
Through this initiative, students will participate in pre-professional internships and training opportunities connected to real industry projects.
The Tourism programs and the Coordination of Pre-Professional Practices of the Department of Social, Legal and Economic Sciences developed this initiative together with Sol Experiences.
These international tourism internships allow students to strengthen their professional skills. In addition, they gain valuable experience in a global and dynamic industry.
Connecting Education with the Global Tourism Industry
Sol Experiences F.Z.E. specialises in international sports tourism and global travel experiences. Through this collaboration, the company will provide training opportunities aligned with the university’s academic programs.
As a result, students will better understand how the tourism industry operates at an international level. Furthermore, they will develop practical skills that will support their future careers.
Academic authorities from the Tourism programs attended the signing ceremony. Lic. Soledad Salto, Director of Sol Experiences F.Z.E. and a graduate of UNLaR, also participated in the event.
The teaching team of Pre-Professional Practice III, led by Lic. Mirian Azcurra promoted this initiative to support advanced students in their professional development.
A Meaningful Collaboration with UNLaR
For Soledad Salto, this agreement has a very special meaning. UNLaR is the institution where she completed her studies in tourism.
Therefore, collaborating with the university represents a great joy and honour. It also creates the opportunity to share her knowledge and professional experience with the next generation of tourism professionals.
In addition, initiatives like this strengthen the connection between academic education and the international tourism industry. They also open new professional opportunities for students who want to build a global career.
